Setting a resume public or private is done through the Job Seekers Menu.
If a resume is set to PRIVATE a potential employer must request the resume. This is an automated process that , when a request is received, DBH immediately sends the owner of the resume an email with the request and the details of the member requesting the resume.
Employers often have little time to spend and this can be a negative and should be considered carefully.
Setting a resume to PUBLIC is the preferred method and allows potential employers to view a resume there and then and make an informed decision.
While Searching for Employees Employers can view potential employees resumes and have the resume forwarded to them via email.
When a resume is sent to a potential employer then at the same time an email is sent to the owner of the resume. This email contains the details of the employer who has received the resume.
Setting the Email Alerts in DBH is THE most important thing an job seeker should do.
DBH provides an email job service where Job Seekers can request to receive jobs placed by Advertisers as and when the Advert is placed.
These requests can be narrowed down the same as Job Searches so as not to become inundated with emails from e.g. countries that are not of interest. On the other hand you can request ALL job adverts for a specific Country of Industry Type.
